A one-person studio where design meets engineering.

GuusLab is an independent studio founded in 2024 by Guus Kaashoek in the Netherlands. Design, development and deployment, all under one roof.

What GuusLab is

GuusLab is a Dutch design and engineering studio run by a single person, Guus Kaashoek. GuusLab takes projects from idea to deployed product: brand, product design, frontend, backend, and the infrastructure underneath. No handoffs, no agency layers, no lost intent.

Why it exists

Most software today is assembled by committee. GuusLab exists because the best products still come from one person with taste, someone who cares about the seam between pixel and packet, and who is willing to own the whole thing.

What GuusLab makes

GuusLab's first product is Nemi, the all-in-one file platform. Nemi combines cloud storage, file sharing, file conversion and file compression in one subscription. 15 GB free, built in Europe, GDPR-compliant.

Founder: Guus Kaashoek
